Peter’s Persica

Winner of the Gardeners’ World Plant of the Year Award 2023, ‘Peter’s Persica’ is a striking climbing rose named in tribute to gardening legend Peter Seabrook. First admired by Peter in trial fields, it has since gone on to receive an Award of Merit at Rochford’s International Rose Trials in 2021.

This repeat-flowering rose produces masses of vibrant 10cm blooms in bright yellow with a dramatic red eye. It’s highly disease-resistant, with glossy, healthy foliage, and offers strong performance throughout the season. Compact for a climber, it’s perfect for smaller gardens or containers as a patio climber, reaching around 2.5–2.7m (8–9ft) with a spread of 1m (39in).
