Beetroot (round) Monika

Most beetroot are multi germ - the seed is formed when flowers grow in clusters and there can be 3-5 seedlings per cluster. Monika / Moneta is a monogerm variety, Monika or Moneta produces one seedling per cluster meaning there is no need to thin your beetroot crops anymore once sown! Sow each seed 5-10cm apart and pick alternate plants when young for tender baby beets leaving the rest to mature into a beetroot bonanza. Delicious and tasty beetroot perfect for boiling or roasting.
