Description
A classic garden favourite and one of the most widely grown clematis of all time. This vigorous climber produces large, rich deep purple flowers with creamy anthers from mid‑summer through to early autumn (typically June–September) on the season’s new growth, creating a spectacular curtain of colour on trellises, walls or arches.
Pruning Group: Group 3 – blooms on new wood; good practice is to prune hard in late winter/early spring, cutting back to a couple of strong buds to encourage vigorous new shoots and plentiful flowers.
